The Ontario Chamber of Commerce has released its report, Taking Action on Skilled Trades: Establishing the Business Case for Investing in Apprenticeship.
This report establishes a business case for investing in apprenticeship training. The recommendations contained in this report have been derived from the findings from the OCC Skilled Trades Workshop, conducted November 2004, as well as from OCC policy, member survey results and additional research. The majority of the report focuses on the top three issues raised by workshop delegates: cost of apprenticeship training, “poaching,” and awareness.
