Ontario-India Relations: The Infrastructure Dimension
At the Ontario Chamber of Commerce – our primary goal is to build a more prosperous province. And, it has become increasingly clear for that to happen, we must think and act globally. In this changing global economy, Ontario businesses must pursue international opportunities and diversify their trading relationships.
The OCC has decided to focus energies on India, where its needs are great, and where Canadian expertise is well known-namely infrastructure. This report, Ontario-India Relations: The Infrastructure Dimension, embarks on a study of India’s infrastructure, how best to pursue opportunities in this vibrant market, and how to develop strategies that are mutually beneficial to our two jurisdictions. While India’s infrastructure needs are great, there is recognition that the private sector has a key role to play in facilitating this transformation, governments and businesses need to work closely to diminish the complexities and promote the opportunities of entering this market.
