Complicated tax systems are burdensome and costly to businesses. In a globalized economy Ontario’s tax landscape, as it currently stands, is not advantageous to business and arguably serves as a disincentive to investment — a significant priority for economic renewal. Ontario must have an evolving, competitive tax environment able to promote economic growth by establishing low and equitable taxation alongside efficient and effective regulation.
