Podcast: Tips on selling to the US Department of Defense
Not just for those in the defense industry, but companies in the e-learning or gaming industry should also be interested in a new podcast from CanadExport about selling to the US Department of Defense (DoD) Doing business with the US Department of Defence: A CCC primer for Canadian e-learning and gaming companies.
With the help from the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), this podcast helps business navigate the US Dept. of Defense in order to understand its market needs, and explains why e-learning and gaming is a hot commodity (e.g. for scenario and logic preparation/training, cost savings, etc). It also discusses the pitfalls that companies may encounter when dealing with the DoD and also how the CCC can assist in navigating these relationships.
The CCC is a Crown corporation created in 1946 to help promote and facilitate trade by Canadian companies, especially in government procurement markets. The two main areas of focus are contracting into the defence sector (primarily with the United States) and contracting into emerging and developing country markets.
