Members of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) have submitted a total of 38 new policy resolutions for debate and consideration at the OCC’s 2011 Annual General Meeting and Convention.
Up to and including the day of the AGM, all OCC members will have an opportunity to review and suggest amendments to the proposed resolutions. All amendments will be introduced at the AGM Policy Plenary session, where there will be a movement to debate and vote on the amendments.
Members are encouraged to forward any proposed amendments to the OCC in advance, so that they can be distributed to delegates prior to the debate. Amendments can be sent to Steven Isidori, Policy Intern, at stevenisidori@occ.on.ca or 416-482-5222 ext 247.
The resolutions will be debated and voted on by the OCC’s members during the Policy Plenary session. The adopted resolutions will be added to the existing Compendium of Resolutions and form the framework for the OCC’s advocacy efforts over the next three years.
Members can vote on resolutions and amendments in one of two ways:
1) by registering to attend the AGM in person by Friday April 29, 2011; or
2) by authorizing an OCC member attending the AGM to vote on your behalf by completing a Proxy Vote Form. Completed proxy vote forms can be faxed to the OCC at 416-482-5879 or e-mailed to Mia Bettio at miabettio@occ.on.ca.
