Len is a strategic thinker, thoughtful to current situations while open-minded to future opportunities. Len’s inspiration provides our organization with a path – a vision of what we can achieve.

Stuart Johnston [Read bio]

Stuart has a strong policy and journalism background allowing him to be proactive and responsive to Ontario’s business environment. Stuart focuses on strategically positioning the OCC as a business advocate in Ontario. Stuart is instrumental in identifying vital policy issues, steering our grassroots policy process and leading efforts to get results.
Fun Fact: Stuart would like to spend the day in the life of Winston Churchill back when he was alive!
Scott McCammon [Read Bio]

Scott is a chamber professional with over 20 years of experience and extensive knowledge of chamber operations throughout North America. Scott is adept at fortifying the foundation of the chamber while identifying new opportunities for growth. Scott helps to knit the chamber network together by constantly providing innovative ideas and support which strengthen our network.
Fun Fact: Scott’s first job was washing dishes in a Greek restaurant
Ron YoungDirector, Membership Development

Ron joined the OCC in 2003 and has over twenty-five years experience in sales of both products and services. He specializes in new account acquisition, having established relationships with Fortune and Global 500 companies. Ron worked with AT&T before bringing his talents to the OCC. Ron is a husband and father of two teens in a very musical family.
Fun Fact: In his spare time Ron can be found enjoying music.
Trevor McPherson
Director, Strategic Initiatives (OCC & OES)

A majority of Trevor’s time is spent managing the OCC’s highly successful Ontario Economic Summit initiative. Trevor joined the OCC in 2006 with 8 years experience as an International Trade Consultant with the Government of Ontario. Always looking to leverage the benefits of technology, Trevor introduced Ontario’s first “Virtual Trade Mission”, a tool used to introduce firms to foreign markets and business partners prior to ever setting foot on foreign soil. As a student, Trevor was selected to travel with the then Prime Minister and Premier to South Korea, the Philippines and Thailand as part of a Team Canada trade mission. Trevor is a graduate of Queen’s University (Political Studies) and Seneca College (International Business). He is married and has one young daughter.
Fun Fact: Trevor’s most despised university course was political theory – never applies in practice.
Wayne Ing
Controller

Wayne is a Certified General Accountant, having received his designation in 2005. He graduated from York University with a BA Math for Commerce. Before joining the OCC, Wayne worked with Ogilvy Renault and prior to that, North York General Hospital. He is married with three children. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, hockey and softball.
Fun Fact: Wayne’s favourite place to travel is Las Vegas.
Colette Rozario
Office Administrator

Colette brings to the OCC years of experience as an admin assistant both with the government and the private sector. She assists the President and CEO and the Board members with the day-to-day issues and is of general support to the organization.

Asha Rajak
Program/Financial Analyst

Asha has diverse experience in media, marketing, customer relations and accounting. With education and work experience gained in her native country of Nepal and her adopted country of Canada, Asha brings a unique perspective to the OCC. Asha has a diploma in International Trade & Marketing from George Brown College. Asha stays active in journalism in Toronto while contributing her knowledge in business writing and international trade to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and the Global Experience @ Work program.

Erin Riach
Communications Assistant

Erin joined the OCC in 2008, first as an intern from Niagara College and later as a full time staff person. Her education began with a Bachelor of Arts in History from McMaster University and she went on to receive a Post-Graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Niagara College. Erin gives back to her community through her volunteer efforts with McMaster Children’s Hospital Change Bandits program.
Fun Fact: Erin’s favorite snack is Brownies!
Frank Belluardo
Policy Analyst

Frank draws upon several years of work experience in the public policy cycle to contribute to the OCC’s policy and advocacy efforts. Prior to joining the OCC, Frank worked in the offices of a number of elected officials: two Members of Parliament and later a Member of Provincial Parliament at Queen’s Park. Frank has an M.A. from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Public Policy, Administration & Law from York University, from which he was selected best graduating student. He was awarded the Canadian Association of Programs in Public Administration (CAPPA) & the Institute of Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) Annual National Student Award for York University, and nominated for the CAPPA & IPAC Thought Leadership Award in Public Administration. Never one to shy away from community involvement, Frank was recently appointed to serve on the York University Alumni Association’s Alumni Chapters Committee.
Fun Fact: Frank is a big fan of KISS.

Gabrielle Schachter
Program Advisor (OES)

Gabrielle joined the OCC in March 2010. Having lived and worked in Europe, the Middle East and now Canada, she brings with her a breadth of international experience. Prior to joining the OCC, Gabrielle managed and organized investor conferences for RBC Capital Markets. In the UK, she worked for the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) in business development, corporate membership management and event planning. Her main strength lies in establishing long lasting relationships with people at all levels and across all industries. Gabrielle holds a BSc (Hons) in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester (UK). Having been raised in France and the UK, Gabrielle is fully bilingual.
Fun Fact: In her spare time, Gabrielle can be found baking (mainly brownies), reading and going to the Opera.
Jess Doan
Manager, Marketing

Jess brings a business education background combined with a creative spirit, eye for design and ability to always push the envelope. Jess graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Business Administration honours degree with first-class standings and was appointed into Beta Gamma Sigma, an international honours society which honours graduates who are in the top 10 percentile of their graduate class. Jess continued her education with a post graduate certificate in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Fanshawe College.
Fun Fact: Jessica’s first job was working in a movie store.
Kelly Pritchard
Policy Analyst

Kelly joined the OCC in May 2010. Prior to that, she worked as a development officer with the regional development banks team at the Canadian International Development Agency. She has a Master’s degree in Political Science from Carleton University, and a joint Bachelor of Arts with Honours in political studies and international development studies from Trent University. Kelly is actively involved with Toronto’s Urban Alliance on Race Relations, and is a long time member of the non-profit organization Jamaican Self Help, which works to build the capacity of Jamaican communities to achieve self-sustaining programs for the benefit of society. Kelly is passionate about working with all groups to achieve social progress.
Fun Fact: Kelly loves getting back to nature whenever she has the chance.
Lesley Cole
International Trade Consultant

Lesley joined the OCC in 2005 and since then, has worked on several policy areas including transportation and borders, international trade, and federal and provincial budget preparation and analysis. Lesley devotes most of her time now to Export Market Access. She graduated with an MA from Fordham University in New York.

Louie DiPalma
Director, SME Programs

Louie DiPalma joined the OCC in 2008 to lead our Export Market Access program, bringing with him years of experience as a program and policy director and project manager in various government departments. When not working with our clients, Louie can often be found on the soccer pitch.
Fun Fact: Louie’s life passion is his family and coaching soccer.
Melanie Reece
Program Officer

Melanie joined the OCC in 2009 with a background in communications and public relations. Melanie graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and a post graduate certificate from Mohawk College. Prior to joining the OCC she gained experience with Town Media in Burlington, Ontario and Metrolinx.
Fun Fact: Melanie’s favourite place to travel is California.
Mia Bettio
Event Specialist

Mia has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from McMaster University and Post-Graduate certificate in Event Management from Niagara College under her belt. She has gained valuable experience working on events with Molson, Habitat for Humanity and various festivals and conferences in Toronto and the Niagara Region. Mia joined the OCC in 2009.
Fun Fact: Mia’s first job was working as a deli girl at a grocery store.
Mirko Palmesi
Policy Analyst

Mirko joined the OCC as a Policy Analyst in June 2010. Prior to this experience, he worked for almost two years as a Junior Professional Officer- Policy Analyst – Energy and Environment Unit at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris. He had the opportunity to be a member of the OECD task force for the 2009 G8 summit in L’Aquila and for the UNCCC-COP 15 in Copenhagen, Denmark. In his new role, Mirko will focus on Finance/Taxation, Pensions, Energy and Environment and Health issues.
He is a PhD Candidate in International Economics at the University of Montreal, and he holds a MA and BA from University of Rome and LSE. Mirko also writes articles on energy and political issues for several Italian and French reviews. While away from the Chamber, Mirko likes discovering new culinary aspects of Toronto’s multicultural communities.
Fun Fact: Mirko loves going to the opera and the theatre in his spare time.
Roland Isberto
IT Systems Administrator

Roland joined the OCC in 2009 after working as an IT System Administrator for Klipsch Group, a company with operations in Canada, the U.S., Europe and China. He obtained his education from Seneca College School of Applied Arts and Technology and the DeVry Institute of Technology. In addition to his IT skills, Roland is a talented photographer.
Fun Fact: Roland’s most despised university course was about designing CPU architecture and apparently it was as dry as burnt toast…
Rosanna Ho
Senior Event Specialist

Rosanna brings to the OCC her experience on a wide spectrum of events. From hip hop showcases to fashion and product launches to black tie gala dinners to art openings, and now the OCC’s events program. Rosanna joined the OCC in 2005 with degrees from York University (Specialised Honours in Social Anthropology and Psychology) and Centennial College (Marketing Management and Business Administration).
Fun Fact: Her vice is Rose macaroons from Pierre Herme.
Rose Ficco
Membership Services Coordinator

A graduate of Humber College in Toronto, Rose spent several years in the retail sector and the travel industry before beginning her association career in 1998. First with the Treasury Management Association of Canada (TMAC), Rose joined the OCC in 2009. A fan of travelling, Rose tries to get away as much as possible and she is keeping her eyes open for her next destination.
Fun Fact: If given the opportunity Rose would spend a day in the life of Sir Richard Branson.
Roya Alaei
Program Officer

Roya has acquired a multitude of different research, policymaking and project management experience at the OCC. She graduated from York University with a Political Science Honours degree and obtained a Masters in Public Policy and Administration from Ryerson University. She has volunteered as an Auxiliary Police Officer for the Toronto Police Service and aspires to continue to influence and lead individuals and organizations. Adding to her education and aspirations Roya also comes to the OCC with the experience of living in another country and growing up with many different cultural influences.
Fun Fact: In her spare time Roya can be found playing volleyball and soccer then relaxing with some yoga.
