Business Advocacy

Advocacy

Business advocacy is the essence of the Chamber.  At its core is our responsibility to identify the barriers our members face in their efforts to productively contribute to their communities, to build individual and collective wealth, and to contribute to the economic, social, environmental and democratic fabric of Ontario.  These obstacles are identified in communities throughout the province through our network of local Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade.

We’ve clustered our policy development into areas which together, determine to ensure the economic wellbeing of the province.  With the overall goal of economic renewal and business competitiveness in mind, our work is divided into the following task forces: Competitive Tax and Regulatory Regime; Modernizing Energy & Infrastructure; Transitioning to the ‘New’ Economy and Skilled Workforce.  In addition, we continue to work on the Fiscal Imbalance, and other issues are dealt with as they arise.
