Transitioning to the New Economy

Many academics, forecasters and leading experts agree that Ontario’s economy is changing. Ontario’s businesses need long term direction in the form of strong policies to benefit from this inevitable transition, and to help foster an environment of economic renewal and business competitiveness. Recognizing the need for leadership on this matter, the OCC is producing a concrete roadmap to help businesses Transition to the New Economy.

Business advocacy is the essence of the Chamber.  At its core is our responsibility to identify the barriers our members face in their efforts to productively contribute to their communities, to build individual and collective wealth, and to contribute to the economic, social, environmental and democratic fabric of Ontario.  These obstacles are identified in communities throughout the province through our network of local Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade.
