About An Evening with the Deputy Ministers
An Evening with the Deputy Ministers is a rare opportunity to connect directly to the action drivers in our government – the deputy ministers who work tirelessly to create a competitive Ontario.
Launched in 2006, this is an annual evening of dialogue, discussion and sharing of ideas between business and community leaders and the leaders of Ontario’s public service. Through a networking reception, hosted dinner roundtables, and a Q&A period, the evening offers direct access to Ontario’s deputy ministers in an informal setting.
The role of Ontario’s deputy ministers is to ensure the goals and outcomes of the provincial government are met. While often working outside the public spotlight, they are invaluable sources of information and knowledge about their ministries.
Each roundtable is hosted by a different deputy minister, allowing an informal exchange of ideas, concerns and opinions with business leaders at the table. Often when guests wish to discuss issues pertaining to more than one ministry, more than one company representatives attends the event and joins discussions at other tables.
