President & CEO – Atlantic Provinces Chambers of Commerce

Do you want to lead a regional organization, harnessing its strengths to influence policy and decision-making regionally and nationally? Do you want to be part of effecting true change?

If you believe in the importance of Atlantic region business and its representative chamber movement speaking with one voice on the regional, national and international stage, then you could be the right person to lead our organization into the future.

Representing over 16,000 businesses, the Atlantic Provinces Chambers of Commerce is an alliance of more than 100 local chambers of commerce and boards of trade across Atlantic Canada. Our mission is to become the one, strong voice for regional growth and prosperity through:

1. Regional policy development and advocacy.

2. Chamber and member services across the region.

3. Promotion of regional economic growth initiatives.

As the successful candidate, you have true and proven leadership abilities, with a strong understanding of governance principles and policy development. You have shown your aptitude for building effective business networks, especially involving government, business, and industry, with the willingness to travel the region – and country – as the face of the organization. As a person with strong ethics, you practice true financial stewardship and forthright communications. Your experience involves working with a board of directors to build a vibrant organization, and your proven managerial and motivational abilities have ensured results from the strategic planning process.
