Membership Types & Benefits

TANGIBLE BENEFITS

The OCC has three levels of membership. Each level of membership is customized to suit the needs and goals of any organization wishing to join with us.

Review our Membership Kit for more information.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Governor members are the first to know of any sponsorship opportunity available at the OCC where your organization can tap into our broad, across Ontario audience of 60,000 businesses.

ONE 2 ONE WITH OCC LEADERSHIP TEAM MEMBER

Governor members have the option of an OCC leadership team member visiting with a member of your team on a tri-annual basis to understand your challenges and goals, so we can play a hand in serving you better as a member.

VIP TABLE ASSIGNMENTS

Governor members receive first choice when it comes to our popular event: An Evening with the Deputy Ministers. This gives Governor members the opportunity to ensure your organization’s representative(s) is sitting with the government leader who is most relevant to your core business.

ONTARIO BUSINESS ADVISORY COUNCIL (OBAC):

The Ontario Business Advisory Council (OBAC) is an event held six times a year which provides an up-close and informal opportunity for dialogue among public and private sector leaders on pertinent economic issues. Attendance is exclusive to those OCC members who have up-graded their membership to include OBAC.

Distinguished Keynote Speakers have included:

  • The Honourable Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario
  • The Honourable Bob Rae, Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada
  • Tim Hudak, Leader of the Official Opposition
  • Andrea Horwath, Leader of Ontario’s New Democrats

POLICY RESOLUTIONS:

As a grassroots organization the OCC allows its members to have a direct influence on the policy positions we take to government. We act as a link between Ontario business leaders and Ontario government decision-makers. As members you are able to submit policy resolutions which are voted on by all members at the OCC Annual General Meeting. Governor members have access to the OCC policy team to help draft your resolution.

COMMITTEE AND TASK FORCE PARTICIPATION:

We welcome member participation and expertise on task forces and committees to strengthen the depth and relevance of subsequent policy recommendations. As an OCC member you can join task forces and committees of interest to your organization and make a difference in Ontario. This will also give you a rare opportuntity to learn about challenges and opportunties facing other organizations.

VISIBILITY:

Businesses affiliated with Chambers of Commerce and Boards of Trade convey to consumers and business partners that they use good business practises, are concerned with the betterment of Ontario, care about customers and are reputable. Each OCC member will be listed on our membership directory page and Governor members will have their logo on the home page proudly presented in a rotating banner.
