On February 17, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) hosted the first Ontario Business Advisory Council (OBAC) of 2012 with David Jacobson, U.S. Ambassador to Canada.

Of the $360 billion spent by Canadian corporations and government on procurement annually, only 3% goes to diversely-owned suppliers. Outstanding Canadian businesses are seizing on emerging trade opportunities through bridging new connections to suppliers, communities, and countries overseas. TORONTO: To slay the deficit and keep Ontario competitive, the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) believes the government must seriously consider the package of reforms coming out of the Commission on the Reform of Ontario’s Public Service (the Drummond Report).
The OCC supports the innovative nature of the report as it takes a systematic approach to change in very challenging economic times.
